We believe AI should show up in your business as reliable staff, not as a vague initiative.
We focus on roles that are currently handled by people—debtor chasing, client outreach, onboarding, triage—and design AI staff to take on that work. Each role has a clear job description, KPIs and a 90-day probation, just like any new hire.
Agents run in the tools you already use: email, finance systems, CRM, helpdesk, collaboration tools. We don't ask you to rip out systems or move data to another platform; we plug into what's already working.

Led by people who’ve sat on both sides of the table
The AR Dept is led by Carlos Oliveira, who’s spent years as both a founder and a product/technology leader working with owners, FDs and IT teams. We know how to talk about AI in the language of capacity, risk and return, not just models and prompts.
That’s why we’re so clear on what this generation of AI can do: it’s the first technology that can genuinely sit across all that existing infrastructure and deliver meaningful productivity gains without another round of heavy capex or a big in-house dev team.
Built in the cloud, grown up on data
Before The AR Dept, we founded and scaled companies in the cloud and data space, including one of the early Microsoft Azure partners in the UK public sector. We’ve migrated workloads, modernised line-of-business systems and stitched together more than our fair share of APIs and data pipelines.
