An AI agent for the applications and interviews in JobAdder
A consultant still reads and files each application in JobAdder, books and records each interview and writes up the notes after every call. An AI agent can take on that work, and the consultant decides who goes forward.

New job applications, candidate records, interviews, placements and the consultant's call summaries.
Applications filed with the CV attached, interview records and confirmations, notes on the right record, and chased paperwork before a start date.
What JobAdder is and who runs it
JobAdder is recruitment software made by JobAdder, a Sydney company that is part of the SEEK Group. It combines an applicant tracking system with a recruitment CRM, and covers job adverts, applications, placements and reporting for agencies and in-house talent teams.
In an agency it is worked all day by recruitment consultants and resourcers, with a recruitment administrator or operations manager looking after the records. In an in-house team it is run by the talent acquisition lead.
The consultant's keying an AI agent can take on
Job applications read and filed
JobAdder keeps each job application as its own record against the job. The agent reads every new one, checks whether the candidate is already held, attaches the CV and writes a note of what it found. The consultant decides who is shortlisted.
Interviews booked and recorded
JobAdder holds interviews as records of their own. The agent collects times from the hiring manager and the candidate by email, records the interview and sends the confirmations. The consultant briefs the candidate and takes the feedback.
Notes written up against the record
Candidates, contacts, companies and jobs each carry their own notes in JobAdder. The agent files the consultant's call summary as a note on the right record, so the next person who opens it sees what was said.
Placements and paperwork followed up
When a placement is recorded, the agent lists what is still owed before the start date, such as right-to-work evidence and signed terms, and chases it. One of your people carries out the check itself.
Roles that work in JobAdder
Candidate pipeline and ATS upkeep
Reads each new job application, checks whether the candidate is already held and attaches the CV.
CV screening and shortlisting
Compares each job application with the criteria you approved and writes its reasons in a note for the consultant.
Interview scheduling
Agrees a time with the hiring manager and candidate, records the interview against the job application and sends confirmations.
Right-to-work checks
Asks each new starter for a share code or documents and tracks what is outstanding for your checker.
How the connection is set up
JobAdder publishes a developer portal and an API, reached through OAuth 2.0. A JobAdder user logs in and approves the connection, which asks for named scopes, such as viewing candidates or managing job application notes. Which scopes the role needs is agreed with you before anyone approves.
JobAdder's own documentation advises asking for the bare minimum of scopes. The role is written so that where it only reads placements it is not given the scope to change them, and your approver sees the list before agreeing.
Questions owners ask
Does it need our JobAdder password?
No. JobAdder's route for other software is OAuth 2.0. One of your users logs in on JobAdder's own page and approves the connection, and the software then works with a token. It never holds the user's password.
Can it be limited to reading, not changing, our records?
Yes, record type by record type. JobAdder's API separates viewing from managing: candidates, contacts, companies, jobs, job applications, interviews and placements each have their own scopes. The role asks only for the ones it needs.
Who decides which candidates are shortlisted?
The consultant who owns the job. The agent reads each application against the criteria you approved and gives its reason for each person. Who is shortlisted, and who is sent to the client, is the consultant's call.
JobAdder says its AI rates applicants. Where would an agent help?
Mostly outside JobAdder. JobAdder describes AI that gives a summary and relevancy rating for every applicant, inside JobAdder, and where those ratings suit you the role starts from them. An Agent Resource, the AI equivalent of a recruitment administrator, carries the role you define on by email, collecting interview times and chasing paperwork.
